Typography 2: Project 3
Spring 2026
Students had to create a 12 page booklet describing a randomly selected typeface. I got Johnston. We had to describe historical classification and developments,indicate earmarks (letters or parts of letters which help to identify the typeface), and find examples of historical usage and current examples. While developing page composition concepts which reference historical page dynamics from the time the typeface was originally created but re-contextualize to address current approaches.
