This was an exploritory project focused on doing portraits. However, I felt uncomfortable with doing straight portraits, so I decided to do a different take on the project. I followed my father around on the farm and occasionally took photos of what he was doing that day. Just that along really shows the daily life of a small-town farmer in the United States. We're not particularly rich, we don't have a big business or anything, so all our repairs and farming are done by my father or by my brothers (I have tried to avoid it; farming is not my thing). I'm happy with how the photos turned out, and I think it was very helpful in learning how to work with shadows, participants, and planning on the spot.
